AFGW Scholarships Awarded

2017 Year 12 student and Vice Captain Tahlia Veney was awarded on Saturday 10 February with a scholarship from the Australian Federation of Graduate Women Inc.  She was one of two winners considered worthy of receiving the Cowra/Canowindra HSC Scholarship.

Tahlia has chosen this year to study Occupational Therapy at Canberra University.  She would like to be able to assist those with disabilities and injuries to achieve their maximum mobility and potential.

Guest speaker on the night was Dr Taniele Kitchingman, a former student of Cowra High.  Taniele was also a previous recipient of an AFGW Scholarship and now works in the field of stress resulting from voluntary work in organisations such as Lifeline.

Congratulations Tahlia on receiving your scholarship and good luck in future!
