Sun & swimming = FUN!!
Records broken at annual Swimming Carnival
Friday 16 February marked the annual swimming carnival. Students enjoyed a fun day and there was great participation by all during the day.
Congratulations also go to our House Captains. They did a wonderful job encouraging and organising their houses to enter the events held on the day. The Captains and Vice Captains received their house badges at Assembly on Wednesday.
Brigalow: Captains - Jared Burns and Emilee Browne. Vice Captains: Dinous Bakini and Hollie Crawley.
Kurrajong: Captains - Ethan Gray and Haruna Yamagishi. Vice Captains - Alex Camps and Jacqui Dresser.
Myall: Captains - Jack Tarrant and Julia Moore. Vice Captains - Cameron Roberts and Kirra Haeata.
Wandoo: Captains - Noah Ryan and Montana Walker. Vice Captains - Adam Thain and Mackenzie Thompson.
There were three record breakers on the day;
Zoe Browne - 50 metres Breaststroke, Matthew Dun - 50 metres Freestyle, 50 metres Butterfly, 50 metres Backstroke and 100 metres Freestyle and Finn Ryan - 50 metres Backstroke and 100 metres Freestyle. Congratulations to these athletes!
The Top Gun event see the fastest seven swimmers from the carnival race against each other. The qualifiers were: Matthew Dun, Finn Ryan, Samuel Frazer, Samuel Dun, Mac Webster, Ky Johnson and Patrick Dun. The winner of this prestigious event was Matthew Dun.
Our Age Champions were also recognised at Assembly and will be presented with medals at a later date.

The winning house for the carnival was Brigalow with 1292 points, followed by Kurrajong 892 points, Wandoo 772 points and Myall 646 points.
