Staffing News
In 2021 we welcome two new staff members to the inaugural roles of Head of Secondary School and Director of College Wellbeing. After a detailed and thorough process for both positions, Mr Christopher Ingold has been selected out of a short-listed group of highly qualified local, national and international candidates as the Head of Secondary School and Mrs Sarah Lehman has been appointed to the position of Director of College Wellbeing. We are blessed to have Christopher and Sarah as part of our community from 2021.
Year 12 Celebrations
Completing Secondary School is a significant triumph and one that should be celebrated. This year has brought about the most unpredictable set of circumstances in so many regards and we will be working hard to offer a means to celebrate the end of Year 12 in the safest way possible. It is important that the College complies with the directive of the NSW Premier and Chief Health Officer with regard to social distancing rules and recommendations. As such, I have made the following decisions for the completion of Secondary School celebrations at the end of Term 3:
- A celebration will take place with Year 12 students only in attendance on Wednesday 23 September. Students will receive certificates at this Assembly and this will be live-streamed to students Years 7-11, parents and carers.
- Year 12 students will be invited to attend the traditional breakfast on Wednesday 23 September. This will be held outside with no other students or parents to attend.
- The traditional St John’s Chapel service will not proceed however the College Chaplain, Mr Gareth Tyndall will present a Chapel service in the final week of Term.
- The Year 12 Formal (dinner) that would traditionally take place on the evening of Year 12’s last day of school has been postponed until after the HSC exams have finished. We sincerely hope that NSW will be in a position to allow events like this to take place later in the year.
- Final week activities will be communicated to you by Mr Fuller once these have been confirmed.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support of the College. This has been a year like no other and the strength you have all shown to keep moving forward has been outstanding.
