Hello everyone, 

We are back and it was refreshing to be sitting around the table face to face discussing the way forward and opportunities for Family Connect to support the students, staff and College in 2021.

Our first meeting had good representation, but we always have room for more family and carers interested in seeing where our service in support of the College can lead.

As per the attached Principle’s report to Family Connect there are four main suggested priorities for us and one of these is to organise workshops for parental engagement. We are currently working to do so and more will follow on this shortly. 

This year will be busy not only in the College but within sport, STEM, the arts and other areas students are participating in. The committee has already supported the recent Choir Camp and we have also been approached in relation to this year’s extensive representative sports program. 

Students and College staff are encouraged to review the attached Travel Assistance form and get in early if seeking support in 2021. 

Members of the Committee will be attending the Catholic School Parents Queensland- Diocese of Cairns AGM on Sunday 21st March. Here we will continue to share our journey, our successes to date and the opportunities we have identified for 2021.
