Dear families,

It has been a busy term at school, everyone will be looking forward to a break and some nice weather!

We have been pleased to hold some successful fundraisers this term.  There is still time to get your order in for the School Sock Fundraiser, with orders closing tomorrow Friday at 3.00pm.

We have great things planned for Term 4 - check the calendar for dates.  We need help to plan and hold these events, please get in contact with us if you can help out.

Planning is also underway for 2023 - let us know if you have any ideas of what you would like to see at the school. 

The next P&F Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 18th October from 6.30pm-7.30pm, please come along to show your support of the P&F.

Review of Events and Fundraising Information

P&F Morning Tea

It was lovely to have a chat with a few parents at the Parents and Friends Morning Tea on Tuesday, 13th September.  Children were able to keep entertained with activities provided.

There were a few apologies due to illness.  

We plan to hold these again in Term 4 on different days - check the calendar above for dates.

Event and Fundraising Information

School Sock Fundraiser 

The Parents and Friends is partnering with The School Uniform Shop to present a School Sock Fundraiser. 

Take the opportunity to stock up on socks for Term 4 and girls winter tights for next year - 25% of the purchase price goes to the school.

Orders are open in CDF Pay and will close on Friday 16 September at 3.00pm.

Mini Golf Family Fun Day

Sunday, 23rd October 2022

Save the date for our Mini Golf Family Fun Day on Sunday, 23rd October 2022 from 11.30am-2.30pm.  

Come along and enjoy a fun day out with your family and school friends on the mini golf course at Riverside Gardens in Kialla.  A BBQ lunch will also be available.

More information and tickets will be available at the start of Term 4.

World Teachers Day - Friday 29 October 2022

At St Brendan’s we are lucky to have wonderful teachers supporting our children in their learning and development. 

The P&F want to help our school community celebrate our terrific teachers on World Teachers Day, Friday 29th October 2022.

A flyer will be sent out to students closer to the date encouraging them to fill in a thank you card to thank their teacher or another teacher they love to learn from!

The school also provides the teachers with a special morning tea on this day to celebrate.

Parents Social Night - Friday, 4th November 2022

Save the date for our final Parents Social Night for the year. 

Details are being planned and will be sent out at the start of Term 4.

These nights have been popular and a great way to meet other parents in our school community.

End of Year Celebration 

Thursday, 17th November 2022

Save the date for our End of Year Celebration on Thursday, 17th November 2022 from 5.00pm-7.00pm. 

Families are invited to bring their own dinner, picnic blankets and chairs for a relaxed celebration on the school oval to celebrate a great year of learning at St Brendan’s.

This has been planned in November to avoid the busy times in December which can be busy for families with work and family commitments and celebrations.

Further details will be given closer to the date.

Next P&F Meeting

It would be great to see you at our next P&F Meeting next week, on Tuesday 18 October 2022, from 6.30pm-7.30pm at school. The evening meeting have been more suitable for most with work commitments during the day.

Please come along to show your support for the P&F. The P&F can only operate with input from the school community.

Register to be a volunteer

If you have a few hours to spare during the year and would like to get involved in the school community please register your interest to be involved as a parent helper through the P&F.

You can register your interest via email parentsandfriends@sbshepparton.catholic.edu.au.

*Volunteer requirements*

Volunteers must hold a current Working With Children’s Check. These details must be supplied to the school office to also be held confidentially.   

WWCC’s are free for volunteers, you can apply through the Working With Children Check Victoria website.

Business interest

Do you own/run a business, or know of a business, that may be interested in being involved in supporting the school community through fundraisers, sponsorship, in-kind support or at events?
