YOUTH MASS
Last Saturday night a Youth Mass was held at our Parish Church.
Father Jackson was the presiding Priest and we had a lovely group of students from our school who attended the Mass with their families.
After the Mass the students and their families all shared in a Pizza meal, drinks and some sweets from the Presbytery (Thank you Father Jackson for the chocolate and passionfruit sponge cake...they were delicious!)
After the meal, the students played a game of Trivia. It was lots of fun and a great way to reconnect with each other after celebrating Eucharist together.
Thank you to all the students and their families who attended the Mass and well done to the students who took on special roles to help celebrate the Mass.
Altar Servers: Imogen Sargeant, Caitlyn Mills, Ella Mills, Angela Kitungano
Taking up the Gifts: Ainsley Sargeant and Owen Sargeant
We look forward to the next Youth Mass in Term 4. You are all welcome to come along and join.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR
THE CARE OF CREATION
Pope Francis established 1st September as the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, encouraging the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home, as well as encouraging awareness-raising initiatives to protect the natural environment.
The day is inspired by Pope Francis' landmark encyclical Laudato Si’, which calls on "every person living on this planet" to care for our shared Earth. “Listen to the voice of creation” is the theme and invitation of this year’s Season of Creation.
Earlier this year our school joined other schools across the diocese to become an ‘Earthcare’ school. Through this initiative our school endeavours to join the Laudato Si journey and commit to sustainable and ecological practice.
Please see below for an image of a certificate shared with our school to acknowledge our commitment to Catholic Earthcare.
