VCAL - Volunteering

Hi my name is John and I am currently finishing Year 12 VCAL. As part of the criteria, I have just completed 10 weeks of volunteer work at the Brotherhood of St Laurence located in Moonee Ponds. I loved working there. I even might keep going even after I finish high school.

My supervisor said that they would love for me to stay on and I am welcomed back anytime.

The tasks that I do at the Brotherhood are various. I put donated clothes on hangers and sort them into different sections of the store. I then use a tag gun to write prices on all items. I also do a little bit of customer service, I help people coming in asking where things are or how much they cost.

I really enjoyed volunteering and was glad to get the opportunity to do it and be a part of the team.
