STEP INITIATIVES DAY - SAFE CRACK

STEP INITIATIVES DAY - SAFE CRACK

WEDNESDAY 14TH OF AUGUST

STEP students participated in their second initiatives workshop for the year by collaborating with their fellow STEP peers to crack open a safe. The ultimate aim of the challenge was to develop coding skills to retrieve clues in order to crack open the safe. Then, once the safe was open, students obtained further clues to assist them in solving the mystery. Students worked so well together to determine the identities of the diamond smuggler and the driver!

It is always heartwarming to see the Year 8 and 9 STEP students mentor the Year 7’s and to observe new relationships being formed. The Team Building Made Easy (TMBE) crew were extremely impressed with our students. All 11 teams were able to open the safe, and 7 out of the 11 teams were able to solve the mystery. TMBE commented that many corporate organisations they run this challenge with are unable to solve the case, so students and teachers were very proud of the achievement.
