Recognition of Service

The Recognition of Service ceremony is an annual event that recognises and celebrates dedication, loyalty and longevity of service to the Department of Education.

Service recognition is awarded at a state level each year for staff who have achieved 40 years, 45 years, 50 years and 55 years of service. Regional offices coordinate service recognition ceremonies each year for staff who have achieved 35 years of service.

More than 400 teachers, principals, education support officers and corporate staff were recognised for 40, 45, 50 and 55 years of service to Victorian education at the 2019 presentation ceremony held in the Savoy Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt on Sunday 21st July.
