Royals by Tegan Bennett Daylight

Six teenagers in an empty shopping centre. With no phones, no internet and no way out, Shannon and five other trapped teens are completely disconnected from the outside world and their online lives. It’s hard to say whether they’ll be driven to crime, or – worse – forced to make friends. Will the limitless bubble tea, Maccas and new sneakers be enough to keep the six teens satisfied until they can find a way out, or is this the start of something much more sinister?

In Royals, find out what really happens when there are no adults in the room.

The isles of the gods  by: Amie Kaufman

Magic, romance, and slumbering gods clash in the start of a riveting fantasy series spanning gangsters' dens, forgotten temples, and the high seas.

Selly has saltwater in her veins but when her father leaves her high and dry in the port of Kirkpool, she has no intention of riding out the winter at home while he sails to adventure in the north seas.

Her plans are foiled when a stranger with magician’s marks commandeers her ship to cross the Crescent Sea without detection so he can complete a ritual on the sacred Isles of the Gods.

But what starts as a leisure cruise will lead to acts of treason and sheer terror on the high seas, bringing two countries to the brink of war, two strangers closer than they ever thought possible and two dangerous gods stirring from centuries of slumber...

This is the way the world ends by: Jen Wilde

You are invited to spend one night surviving an elite private school's epic masquerade ball in Jen Wilde's debut thriller, This Is the Way the World Ends. As an autistic scholarship student at the prestigious Webber Academy in New York City, Waverly is used to masking to fit in - in more ways than one.

Waverly gets by on tutoring gigs and the generosity of the school's dean. So, when her tutoring student asks Waverly to attend the school's annual Masquerade disguised as her, Waverly jumps at the chance - especially once she finds out that Ash will be there. The Masquerade is everything Waverly dreamed of, complete with extravagant gowns, wealthy parents writing cheques, and more.

But Waverly's fairy-tale turns into a nightmare, as she, Ash, and her friends navigate through a maze of freight elevators and secret passageways to survive the night.

Glimpse by Jane Higgins

The city authorities have abandoned the D-Zone as damaged beyond repair. It's a no-go area where ongoing earthquakes threaten to destroy what's left. But Jonah and Bas and everyone else trying to survive in the devastation can't leave - they're 'illegals', without citizenship, without rights.6

Jonah can see the quakes before the ground shudders and before the buildings fall. Glimpsing is a rare ability and a great survival asset. It has attracted the attention of the entertainment company GlimpseCorp and the cult movement People for a New Nation. Both are desperate to control and cash in on this remarkable power.

Glimpse is a compelling adventure, an intriguing story of conflict, power, manipulation, love and friendship, set in richly imagined world that is in many ways very much like our own.
