St Patrick's Is Open For Business As Usual Tomorrow

Tomorrow a large number of teachers and support staff who work in Catholic Schools across NSW and the ACT will be walking off the job and taking part in protected industrial action in regards to the proposed new enterprise agreement. This action is going to forced a number of schools in our diocese to provide minimal supervision or close for the day. St Patrick's will be operating as normal tomorrow and the House Challenge Day will still be going ahead.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK  22nd-28th May

Today our Years 3-6 students joined schools across from the Armidale Deanery at Mass in the Cathedral.  This week is an opportunity to recognise the importance, the value, and the contributions of Catholic education to the Church and the world. Catholic Schools Week aims to raise awareness and celebrate the strengths and distinctiveness of Catholic schools. Well done to Hugo who did an excellent job reading a prayer of the faithful as well to the rest of the students with their singing and responses during this celebration.

House Challenge Day

To mark off Catholic Schools Week, tomorrow, the school will be hosting a House Challenge Day where the Blue and Red House will be resuming their rivalry in a number of challenges. We will be also having a classroom award ceremony as well if the weather holds out a picnic lunch on the green (either on the middle oval or top oval). Everyone is definitely welcome to join us on this day. Parents are definitely welcome to order their lunch from the school canteen if they wish. A timetable of the day is included below.

At the House Challenge Day our Mini Vinnies member will be hosting a cupcake stall at recess and plan to sell cupcakes for 50c each. The committee members were wondering if it would possible that our parents in all grades would be able to provide some cupcakes to be sold during this time? The members know that this is a big ask as they understand how busy everyone is. If you can, it would be absolutely fantastic and the money raised is going to a great cause.

ARMIDALE EISTEDDFOD 25th and 26th May

Congratulations to the children on their excellent performances today and yesterday.

Thank you Mrs Mackson for preparing the children in Mini Minstrels and the teachers for supporting Mrs Mackson. Again official congratulations goes to our Years 3-6 Choir who came second in their division today. Well done!

Thank you to all of the St Patrick's parents who were able to come to the Eisteddfod and watch the children. Our school had the majority of guests in the audience.

As I was leaving, I was congratulated by one of the organisers on our children's behaviour and manners. I have to say that I am extremely proud of our children and all that they do.  Everyday I continue to have high expectations for behaviour, manners and attitude to learning and everyday I am proud to see what the children achieve.

Please read the comment below from the adjudicator for our K-2 Choir. Also in the Classroom News/Gallery section are some photos  of our performances over the last two days.

UPCOMING CHANGES TO OUR SCHOOL FEE PAYMENTS AND ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE

Over the next few weeks our school will be transitioning to a new finance system.  The change will include new ways in which you can make payments to the school which include Bpay, CompassPay and EFTPOS.  Current direct debit options will still be available for a limited time.  Our current school bank account will be closing and therefore we will be asking parents to make payments to the school via one of these new functionalities.

Shortly you will receive your new Fee Statement and included on the Statement will be your new Bpay payment details.  You can easily set up regular payments from your bank account to the new school bpay account.

Via the Compass App, you can also make payments for School Fees and Events.  Please contact the School if you require assistance with the Compass App.

Our School will also have EFTPOS facilities available.  This means you will be able to make payments or purchases over the counter at the School rather than relying on cash.
