Remembrance Day

On November 11 our school could not come together in our usual Remembrance Day Services however, the entire school community took part in some moving moments to commemorate the members of our armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Year Six students led Junior School in a heartwarming service in the John E. Higgs Hall which was live-streamed into the classrooms.

Henry Livingstone (10 Frew) played a haunting rendition of The Last Post while Mrs Bath took Junior School Captains, Matilda O'Sullivan and William Slow to the Cenotaph.

The RSL had a private service this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.  Will and Matilda however, were fortunate to meet Mr Geoff Leach, a Vietnam War Hero at the cenotaph and laid a wreath in honour of those who fought for our country.

Meanwhile, at Senior School, Mrs Jacqui Vine brought the schoolyard to a reverent standstill with The Last Post.  Students having just completed their first session in examinations observed a respectful minute's silence.

Dr Clayton Massey and some Year Eight students walked to the Bendigo War Memorial and laid a wreath.

Lest we forget.
