Big Summer Read

Big Summer Read is taking place at Port Phillip Library Service again these summer holidays!

The BIG Summer Read aims to arrest the ‘summer slide’ in literacy by engaging children and their families in a fun and dynamic campaign through public libraries. Entering the BIG Summer Read is simple. To register and for terms and

We have some fabulous prizes for students to win, including summer fun activity packs, environmental activity packs, and a double annual pass to Luna Park!

All entrants who log a minimum of 10 books over December-January will be eligible to enter our prize pool, and the state-wide prize pool.  

We also have a range of participation prizes, including yo-yos and skipping ropes.

BIG Summer Read totes and frisbees are also available for library members at all PPLS branches.
