French Update

Term 4 has been full of highlights in the French department. Our Prep students enjoyed making their very own fruit skewers after learning the names of French fruits in a fruit salad.

There was a lot of excitement in the air during our Year 5 French café week. Students were challenged to order their food and drinks in French with some even memorising their orders. Incroyable!

French Passion Projects

Monsieur Paul and I have been really impressed with the effort and quality put into our French 'Passion Projects' this year. Take a look at some of these stand out projects:

Alicia created a replica of a necklace from King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette's reign.

Lizzie and Sophie re-created the French football stadium sharing their facts via Powerpoint and on a French soccer ball.  

Ella and Anna researched the fashion designer Coco Chanel. They then designed a catwalk complete with Chanel's famous clothing items and lights!

Claudia and Emma wrote their own French café script to present their research about croissants. They also brought in some croissants for the whole class to try. Miam! (Yum!)

A huge 'merci' to everyone who went above and beyond in their efforts this term. We particularly enjoyed sampling your homemade French treats!

French Awards

Looking back on Term 4, we would like to offer our félicitatio​ns to the following students for outstanding effort and participation in French. Also a grand 'merci' to our Language Captains, Annabelle and Lucy, for doing the honours of presenting the awards and leading the language department this year.
