School Christmas Concert

Port Melbourne Community, THANK-You! We have all pulled together and supported each other through the most amazing school concert we’ve had in three years. It was WONDERFUL to see the joy and excitement on the faces of those on stage … students and teachers alike. ;-)

It was so delightful so see so many members of our school community out to support our students in this endeavour, and it was wonderful to feel and hear your enthusiasm for our performers. We worked hard to deliver seamless concert performances while as audience, you worked hard to be comfortable. We were thrilled that so many of you were able to attend and celebrate the moments of glory for class after class, despite the less than hospitable accommodations. Nonetheless, our students greatly appreciated your applause and cheers.

We are very fortunate that our gymnasium accommodates so many people. Many schools had to cancel their carols events this week due to lack of appropriate inside space for weather avoidance. We are truly fortunate to have the gymnasium as a back-up venue.

Teaming up with PFA is always fun … thanks to Annalie, Bre and Thea in particular for bringing the broader community in through market stalls and the eternal equaliser, the sausage sizzle. You added atmosphere and the all important food staples!

For those of you who helped to pack up afterwards, thanks … every little bit helped!

Finally, a massive CONGRATULATIONS to all our students for learning their songs so well and performing them with such sass, vim and verve! It was a truly joyous afternoon despite the weather!
