McAuley

McAuley has had a great start to 2023 with many students positively engaging in activities in the school and greater community. McAuley had a great day at the swimming carnival with all students present getting involved in the varying activities of the day especially the house swims and cheer contest. McAuley came in 2nd on the day behind a strong Mercy team however, considering the low number of students present  Miss Stanley was very proud of everyone's efforts on the day. Well done to all McAuley staff who participated in the events of the day especially those who swam in the races.

Ethan Tighe, Clare Canham, Jai Read McInnes, Jack Canham, Jakson Dowdell, Alex Egan, Will Jansen and Cooper Zapper all recently competed in the inner-school chess competition on March 3rd. All students showed their brilliant chess skills but it was Ethan Tighe who took out the win on the day with Alex Egan coming in third.

This year each week at our McAuley house meetings we acknowledge a McAuley MVP  who has had a positive impact on the school or in the wider community. We celebrate the achievements of these students who are the recipients of the McAuley MVP so far. Baxter Knapman - Swimming Country Championships, Tahni Bush, Jacey Ross, Alyssa Frey, Kade Bush, Mayse Frey, Luke Jeffrey, Mikayla Straney and Alyssa Wise - Junior State Cup Touch Football. Hannah Renton and Eliza Renton - Helping to set up the hall for the Ash Wednesday Mass. Carter McIlveen - Player of Cricket Connolly Cup Final.

Well done McAuley on a brilliant start to the year, keep up the great work! Go McAuley!
