Student Achievements

Basketball

A huge congratulations to Ruby P from Year 9, who has made the U15 Australian Women's Basketball Team. This is an incredible opportunity for a talented young player. Ruby will be off to Guam in November to play in the FIBA Oceania Championships. 

Athletics

Earlier this month, Dylan A, Year 8, had a great result at the NSW All Schools Competition with a silver medal in the U15 2km steeplechase and a gold medal for U15 3km racewalk representing Killara High School.

Gymnastics

Cassidy N, Year 10, competed in the National Individual Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships last month on the Gold Coast where she performed beautiful routines securing a Silver in Clubs, Bronze in Hoop, 4th in Ribbon and 5th in Freehand . An amazing result coming 4th in overall score for Level 8. 

 

She then joined her team for the National Clubs Carnival multiples competition with great success scoring Gold and National Champions in the Clubs quad, and Silvers in Rope trio, Ball Quad and Freehand Group. Well done Cassie. 

2022 Schools Spectacular

 

We would like to congratulate Braden L and Mitchell M, Year 12 music students, for being selected to perform for the 2022 Schools Spectacular. Braden L will be performing as a featured artist and Mitchell M will be playing the drums for the Stage Band. This year’s show will feature a 2,100-voice choir, 2,200 dancers, 100 piece symphony orchestra, 250 students from the signing choir, stage bands and special ensembles. We are very proud for these talented students to represent Killara High School and have the chance to perform in such an incredible event.
