Scottish Dancing

There were a few students and teachers who kicked up their heels at Scottish country dancing last term. The classes were expertly taught by Diana Hastie from the Sydney branch of RSCDS (Royal Scottish Country Dance Society).

Diana arrived each Monday afternoon and took the students and teachers through the three main steps in dancing, Pas de basque, Strathspey, and Skip change. Those of you who do a little bit of dance will understand these terms. We didn't get as many students as we would have liked however those students who turned up every week thoroughly enjoyed themselves and now know where they can join other clubs for more of the same.

Our Principal managed to avoid the fun however we must try to get him on the dance floor to see if he has some moves. It is hoped we can offer the students more Scottish Country Dancing in future.
