Junior School Chapel – Women in the Bible 

Parents are invited to all our Junior Chapel Services, Friday 8:30-9am on the following dates: 

• 7 Oct  
• 21 Oct  
• 4 Nov  
• 18 Nov 
• 2 Dec – JDC Nativity Performance and Carols 

Senior School 

• 13 Oct – Year 11, 10.50am–11.45am  
• 27 Oct – Year 9 and 10 Chapel, 10.50am–12.40pm (guest speaker)  
• 10 Nov – Years 7 and 8 Chapel, 11.45am–12.40pm

Save the date: Oaktree Christmas Carols in the Garden 

Saturday 3 December, Oaktree Church invites the Shelford Community to Carols in the Garden from 4pm. There will be carols and community fun as we enter the Christmas season.   

Prayer for Community Action 

God of restoration, 

We bring these before you all the events going on around our world, both natural and man-made disasters, 

and we pray for us all, 

that we might restore our relationships with each other and work together to bring about positive change in our communities and our world. 

Open our eyes to help us to see where we can make changes for the better. 

God of hope, 

We pray for the members of government across the world who have the power to make change. Change for better or for worse.  

Raise up new leaders where needed and provide wisdom to those in power.  

We pray for creative new solutions to manage the many crises that is occurring across our world.  

May leaders find the determination to take strong action to promote human flourishing, and to put an end to violence. 

Amen.
