Liturgical News

On Wednesday 31st March we celebrated our Easter Mass for the College. For this mass, Year 10 students were involved with reading and music. Thank you to Father Paul for celebrating our mass; Sr Trish and Sr Theresa who joined us for our celebration; Anastasia and Mr Segrave who coordinated the Year 10 Music class to perform the music; Ms Davis and her Pastoral team for organising the Year 10 students to read; and Kobe Flint for offering a Welcome to Country.

It was great to see Year 10 music students step up (after a busy week of Cabaret!) to provide sacred music for mass with Alex on drums, Lauren, Alana and Teresa singing, Kemuel and Christian on guitar and Charlie on bass guitar. Riley and Noah, from the Year 10 Photography class, also assisted with taking photos of our Mass which are shown below. Some of our Year 7 students are to be commended for their involvement as altar servers, thank you to Alessandro, Jaidan and Christian and also to Finn who assisted with running the powerpoint!

It is so important to see our students involved and engaged with our liturgies using their talents and gifts in such a special way. To the surprise of many, during the last hymn voices were heard throughout the congregation joining in with the singing. This was something very special, as not only was it lovely to hear, but it was a beautiful demonstration that students were comfortable to openly express their faith amongst their peers - what a milestone!

Now to get organised for next term, please mark the date for our next MCC Youth Mass which will be on Sunday 20th June hosted by Year 8.

Finally with Holy Week upon us I have included the liturgies and mass times for our Sacred Heart Parish.

Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Easter and break. See you all next term!!
