WELCOME
Welcome to our FIRST edition of Snippets on Naavi. I hope you are all staying warm and dry as you read this inaugural edition.
We have had a number of students presenting unwell at the beginning of the school day. Please do not send your child to school when he or she is not feeling well. A sick child should be at home - resting, recovering or recuperating.
COVID 19:
COVIDSafe measures have changed but all Victorian government schools are required to continue to implement important practices to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Students who report a positive result are recommended to isolate for a minimum of 5 days and not attend school until their symptoms have resolved. Additionally, the Department of Health recommends that masks should be worn by a person who has COVID-19 for at least 7 days after a positive test when they need to leave home.
Close contact:
The Department of Health recommends that masks should be worn by a person who is a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, when leaving home.
OTHER AILMENTS:
If your child complains of fever, cough, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, runny nose, etc. you are advised to keep him or her at home from school until he or she is feeling better and without a temperature for at least 24 hours.
Being winter we understand that many children will have a cough or a cold. However if your child has a bad cold, with a very runny nose or bad cough, that has kept them awake at night, please keep them at home. This includes a significant cough that makes your child uncomfortable or disrupts the class.
If students come back to school too soon, their illnesses can be spread throughout the school.
Your cooperation in keeping sick children at home is greatly appreciated!
Students are expected to wear the winter uniform in Terms 2 and 3. This includes:
Girls:
Boys:
Accessories and Hair:
Please refer to the School Uniform policy, which is found on our website, if you have any further queries or questions
