Principal's Message

Dr. Andrew Cousins

Welcome to Term 3! I hope you have had an enjoyable holiday break and are excited about the term ahead!  I am looking forward to the many functions and events which occur during the term.

A highlight in the coming weeks will be Jazz on the Green. It is fantastic that through the support of the Clayfield College Foundation, P&F, and Old Collegians’ Association we can welcome back Jazz on the Green in 2022, after being cancelled for the last two years due to COVID-19.

I hope that many of you will be able to come on Sunday 31 July to enjoy an afternoon of music. This year we have five-time ARIA award-winning artist Katie Noonan headlining the event. Katie will be supported by Old Collegian Karin Schaupp, the Clayfield College Big Band, Brisbane City Big Band and Brisbane Boys' College Big Band.

Bring your family and friends, your lawn chairs or picnic rugs and soak up the perfect combination of live music and a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Round it off with a drink from the bar or Champagne marquee and enjoy some food and treats from the vendors' area.

Tickets can be purchased via the link below.

  • Adults - $ 20.00
  • Students - $ 5.00
  • Families - $ 40.00

It has been a hive of activity on campus over the holiday period. The revitalisation program of work has continued, with the Gregory Street entrance getting a complete facelift with a new white fence around Circular Drive and the rose garden, plus all-new tiling around the main building and vestibule.
