Swimming Carnival

It was that time of year again, when the students and staff of Mornington Secondary College made their annual pilgrimage to the Pines Forest Aquatic Centre for the Swimming Sports. In what was perfect conditions, the students were dressed in their respective colours all ready for a day of fun and competitive swimming. We had a record number of students getting involved in races, from novelty events such as the board relay to the more competitive freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. Outside the pool, hundreds of students were involved in dance competitions, face painting and the always-popular water slide. It was a tight race to see who would be crowned the champion house on the day, with only a few points separating 2nd, 3rd and 4th. However our swimming champions for 2019 were the mighty Beleura Redbacks!!

Well done to all who were involved on the day, whether it was swimming, cheering on your team mates or just dressing up. Our next major event on the calendar is the House Athletics on Tuesday March 19th here at MSC.
