‘It’s not me, but we’

Last weekend I felt so proud to be Australian.  ANZAC Day remains one of my favourite occasions as on this day we truly unite as a country to commemorate the deeds and sacrifices of the past.  Given our current challenges with a COVID-19, I felt even prouder of the fact that both young and old Australians alike have embraced ANZAC traits like pride, hope, optimism and endurance.   We share this journey together and as I have stated before we are at our best when we serve others!  Neil MacLean has certainly lived by this philosophy throughout his forty-three years at College and I commend him on his brilliant ANZAC address yesterday.  I urge anyone who missed it to follow this link

Thank you to the families who have paid their term 2 fees.  Due to the office being closed, I remind all families that fees can be paid via: Direct Deposit in the College bank account (BSB 633 000; A/C 1527 53042 - Please use your account number as the reference; or by credit card by calling the office on 03 5572 1355 or emailing jbourke@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au   If you are experiencing difficulties paying your term 2 account, please contact myself or the Business Manager, Mr Jason Bourke.

Finally, this week, I share the exciting news that we have commenced planning for a return to school.  We are uncertain about when and await the Victoria’s Chief Health Officer’s endorsement to do so.  This decision is in the best interests of our entire community – staff, students and parents.  When we do return to the classroom, we hope our boarders will return with day students and we intend to re-open as a whole school. I remain here for you anytime at ahirst@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au .
