Making Music Together

Each week we fine tune the remote music environment.  We feel for our fellow musicians in such esteemed ensembles as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, who are now without work, for the performers who would be entertaining on the stages across the world and we turn to our music with greater need.  Whilst the way in which we operate might have changed it has been wonderful to hear the stories of Myrniong Performance Arts students singing heartily from their home classrooms and our senior ensembles reconnecting through music.  As was demonstrated in this week’s ANZAC service, whether through recording or live online performance our music students are practising, performing and learning new skills along the way.

Now that instrumental lessons are up and running, please remember:

  • Check your Teams calendar as lessons will be scheduled as calendared meetings according to the Instrumental Music Timetables.
  • The Teams calendar will provide a snapshot of the learning day and where the instrumental lesson falls.
  • Students are reminded to inform classroom teachers if they need to attend an instrumental music lesson during class time.
  • Please communicate with teachers or the music office in advance if you are unable to attend a lesson.
