Garden Update

The team have been busy weeding the old vegetable beds on Lachlan road and we are due to plant and mulch this week! The rain has certainly helped and we are looking forward to a bountiful winter crop come next term.

Calling all Gardening Volunteers! Seriously we NEED YOU!

Once a week Aasta holds a Sustainability Club during lunch time. The students are involved in all sorts of sustainability activities including; gardening, plant propagation, planting, harvesting, watering, weeding, nature hunts, data collection, go on excursions and so much more.

As our gardens expand, and the interest in sustainability increases, the amount of jobs and students attending is also growing. We are looking for some regular parent/family/community volunteers who would be interested in supporting this club. 

So if you know someone who would be keen to get their hands dirty once a week or once a fortnight for an hour please contact Aasta via the office, Art room or on: aasta.dearnaley@education.vic.gov.au
