The Fathering Project

To celebrate Men's Health Week, the Fathering Project have released an amazing podcast episode 'Evolving fatherhood, masculinity and mateship' where the Fathering Project’s CEO Káti Gapillard sat down and spoke with Dr Jason Frishman.

In this episode we explore masculinity, the importance of men making connections with other men and the impact of this on the type of dad they are for their kids and their overall health and wellbeing.

A fascinating discussion where we learn of Jason’s group work with man, and his strategies for men to open up and connect.

Prep Health Questionnaires - REMINDER

It's that time of year again when our School Nurse Program gets our Prep students involved in the FREE health program.

The Victorian Primary School Nursing Program is a free health assessment service offered to all children during their first year of primary school.

A part of this program is gathering important information from our families about their child's health, development and wellbeing. The information obtained from this questionnaire will assist the Primary School Nurse to complete your child’s health assessment. A health screen may be attended on your child if required. Information and or advice may be given as needed.

Please ensure that the SEHQ is completed and returned to your child’s teacher, no later than Friday, June 2, 2023.

If you do not want the Primary School Nurse to review the School Entrant Health Questionnaire and not see your child, please do the following:

• Write your child’s name and school on page 5 of the School Entrant Health Questionnaire

• Tick NO or write “NON-CONSENT” across page 5 of the School Entrant Health Questionnaire.

This week, all PREP students will be coming home with the health questionnaire, and we encourage all parents/guardians/families to complete the questionnaire. These will be delivered to our school nurse in preparation for their school visits in Term 3. Without the completed form, children will not be able to be seen by the school nurse.
