Tuesday of the last week of last Term, Angela Ryan, Logan Dalli and Zac Walters, represented the Armidale/Lismore Diocese  in the NSWCCC Northern Country Trials against the Maitland/Newcastle Diocese. Although not gaining selection, Logan and Zac played well and should be very proud of their efforts.

Angela played some tough footy in the difficult conditions and was selected in the U16 Girls Northern Country Team, to contest the NSWCCC State Championships, at St Mary’s, in August. Well done and good luck.

Last Wednesday, Lily Moore, Indiana Ramage and a number of other students from our Diocese, travelled to Coffs Harbour, to compete in the Armidale/Lismore Open Girls and Boys Football (soccer) Trials. The players started the day with a lengthy skills/drills session, before playing some games. After nearly 3hrs of activity, both Lily and Indiana were selected in the Lismore Diocesan Football Team, to participate in the NSWCCC Selection Trials These trials will  be held at Valentine Park, on the 25-26 of May. This is a fantastic achievement, as Lily has one, and Indiana two more years in this age division. Great work and congratulations girls!I Well done to two boys from McCarthy, who were also selected.

On Tuesday, in favourable weather, O'Connor hosted the Diocesan Cross Country and Tennis, at Sport UNE.

The girls tennis team consisting of Charlotte Killen, Chelsea Morley, Brianna and Mackenzi Naden, had a successful day with a number of wins.

The boys team which included Jackson Burton, Bradley Lidgard, Heath and Ned Maurer, also played well but were beaten by eventual champions, St Mary's from Gunnedah.

Our Cross Country runners enjoyed considerable success, with Tom Bible, John Harris and Hannah Friedman all Age Champions. Fourteen of our students have qualified for the NSWCCC Cross Country Championships, to be held in Eastern Creek, on June 7.

Thanks to Ross, Felicity and Mr Kelly for their  help throughout the day.  A big thanks to Megan and Michael Wooster for helping plan, set up, and pack up the course.
