Team Points Update

Throughout the year students have been receiving Team Points for their Sports Day teams. A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to all teams for continuing to gather points for their respective teams. Welcome John!

Last week LNPS staff and students welcomed our new Pastoral Care Worker (PCW) John Griffiths. John will be working Thursdays and Fridays.

"Hi my name is John, and I am the new PCW worker at LNPS. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of the kids and families better over the next weeks, months and years.

I love sport, summer and all foods…

You might see me riding my motor bike in the car park, or shooting hoops during lunch break, or wandering the class rooms. But whatever I’m doing, stop and give me a wave…

My role is to serve the school community and help the kids with all things wellbeing. So if there is anything I can do for the families of LNPS or the kids as individuals, let me know.

Looking forward to getting to know everybody better."

Wellbeing advice from Mr Skrob

My last wellbeing advice column looked at 'the power of yet' and how training our brains to use growth mindset language can help us to learn a new concept or skill.

This column focuses on 'The Iceberg Illusion'. When you are facing challenges and obstacles in your pursuit to learn something new, always  remember that success is like an iceberg; the hard work and time put into learning something new can be overlooked, but it is the most important part of the recipe when you are working towards success.
