Mission

It was my privilege on Monday and Tuesday of this week to accompany Mr MacMaster, Miss Kent and the College’s Student Leaders on a two-day Training Seminar at the Hermitage in Mittagong. We began by exploring the concept of leadership, focussing on the Christian model of Servant Leadership. We also listed the qualities and values which were important to the group. The Menti cloud displays the understanding of leadership which  was demonstrated.

In preparation for the setting of goals, we then discussed two very important questions: What do we love about our College? What are the areas of challenge for our community?

The three goals which the leaders hope to work towards, supported by the Senior Year of 2020 are:

  • To uphold the ethos and traditions of the College
  • To strengthen the College Community, inclusive of the Junior School, the Senior and the  Boarding Community
  • To build respect in all aspects of College life

The roles of the Student Leaders for 2020 were also determined:

  • David De Vecchis                   College Captain
  • Jeremiah Fisher                     College Vice Captain
  • Michael Zappia                       Marist Solidarity Leader
