Australian Maths Competition 2021

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)  will be held once again this year!

The competition is open to students in Years 3-6. All students receive a certificate showing their level of achievement. The AMC is designed to be a fun event to promote Mathematics and it gives students external recognition of their achievements.

The Australian Mathematics Competition is a mathematics competition containing 25 multiple choice problems and 5 questions requiring a number answer.

Please keep an eye out for the Operoo form that will be sent out to Years 3 to 6  families this week seeking permission for your child to enter the competition.

The competition will run over two days to accommodate the increasing number of students at St Simon’s who enter the competition each year. Last year we set a new school record of 114 students who challenged themselves and had a go!  The dates for this year are Wednesday the 4th August or Friday the 6th of August. Both sessions will be conducted at the school and supervised by Monica Rayner, the School Maths Leader.
