DISNEY THE LION KING JUNIOR
Hello to everyone in the ACPS pridelands,
Our curriculum day rehearsal was awesome and after today’s rehearsal we will have all of our numbers in Act 1 roughly blocked and choreographed. We are now pushing on with blocking and choreography for act 2. The lights are mostly all up now and our technical cast are learning how they all work (and having a lot of fun with the moving lights!). After 2 weeks of staging it became very obvious that the younger members of the ensemble would need a lot more structure. For this reason - we are now going to bring our younger members on from the same place, behind and in front of the same people EVERY TIME. Finger’s crossed this works.
I am introducing a couple of scenic elements that weren’t in my original vision - but will be a valuable addition to the overall look and feel of the show.
Jho and Lilli continue to work their magic with the masks (as well as costumes) joined by Jacqui Burden who is looking after costumes at the ACPS end.
We take possession of the final elements of the set in a few weeks and we can really start to feel the momentum building.
It would be really good if everyone was able to practice their songs at home - especially the words.
All the children have a list of “PEOPLE WHO NEED TO SEE ME IN THE SHOW” We are trying to get a list of between 10-20 names on that list so the we can fitl our theatre. Tickets will be going on sale soon!
