Amazing Women with Violins: Returning
With the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra returning to perform at the Hamilton PAC, so too do two amazing women with violins return to the College on Saturday. This year, between lockdowns we managed to host Monica Curro and her partner Stefan Cassomenos who worked with our VCE Music Performance class and String students. We have also had Monica visit us online whilst she was in lockdown, but we were not, and Saturday she returns to us in person. Travelling with her, is her sister, another amazing violinist, Sarah Curro. Sarah returns to us after being the special guest performer at the opening of the Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre in 2012. Put aside some time to watch the interview below where Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Conductor Ben Northey discusses all things music life and journey with Monica and Sarah Curro. Our students get to work with these amazing violinists. Maybe they will inspire their future journeys.
