National Youth Science Forum – applications are open for current Year 11 students

A great opportunity for current yr 11 students to apply for.  Interested in the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)?

Read the attached flyers for further information. 

Any Year 11 students wishing to apply to attend the forum can contact The Rotary Club of Bayside Geelong for endorsement of their application and possible funding eligibility to assist with the cost of the program.  The fee to attend the 2022 NYSF Year 12 Program is $1,900.

Your application to be considered for funding by Rotary must be submitted by Friday June 25th to allow time for processing before returning the application to students to finalise and upload the application by July 2nd. 

Students must apply through the NYSF website, www.nysf.edu.au

In the application students will need to demonstrate their interest in the program by completing “about you” questions such as hobbies, interests and achievements; motivation to attend NYSF; the role of STEM; career goals; post-year 12 intentions; and envisaged tertiary studies.

Students interested in being endorsed by a Rotary Club will need to complete the Rotary Endorsement Form.

Once an application is submitted, applicants will be contacted to attend the NYSF District Interviews.  All applications are assessed on their merit using the same criteria as all others.

To endorse an applicant Rotary will require a copy of your most recent school report and a copy of the information provided in your NYSF application. Once Bayside Rotary has endorsed the application, the form will need to be uploaded to NYSF with the student’s application by the closing date.
