The football season officially kicked off this weekend and was a huge success for all juniors and senior boys participating in these trials. With the new restrictions in place the trials moved smoothly and were on time and we would like to thank all parents who assisted by following these new restrictions that we must adapt to during this time. Training and trials will be going ahead for the next couple of weeks and the same restrictions will have to be followed in regard to pick-ups and drop-offs. With trial games happening this weekend against Laurie’s, this will be a good way to prepare for the season and touch up on each team’s final preparations before AIC. In terms of the 1st XI we kicked off the season with a strong 9-2 win against the internal Old Boys side. We look forward to continuing this run of form and keep picking up wins in pre-season to give us the best chance of success during the season. Best of luck to all teams this weekend and we both look forward to seeing Marist Football strive again the same way we did last year.
