The Womindjeka Balnarring Ngargee Festival is coming up soon. 

I have been lucky enough to be on the organising committee for the 2022 Festival which will be held on the 19th March. This festival celebrates First People’s culture. There will be live music, dancing, workshops, market stalls, children’s activities, food vans and more. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about our Indigenous Culture and participate in some cultural activities. Entry is by donation.

Step Forward: Support group for parents and stepparents raising children in a stepfamily 

• Who is welcome?

If you are a parent, stepparent, single parent dating or dating someone who has children and considering a future together, this is the group for you.

• What to expect when we meet?

Each time we meet we will explore a topic that influences the health of stepfamilies. The topics will be chosen by the members of the group. Everyone is free to share their own experiences on the discussion topic of the night. The time spent together will be informal and an opportunity to find friendship and support from one another.

• When and how often do we meet?

 We will meet once a month online. 

The second Wednesday of each month at 7pm till 8.30pm.

 Our first meeting will be on the 16/03/2022.
