MCG Tour

On the weekend the MITS students and I went to the MCG for a tour. First we ate breakfast and got changed and left Lockington.  We walked down to the MCG.

When we had arrived at the MCG, everyone was waiting.  Peter was showing us around the MCG. As we were walking around the MCG we saw lots of old photos of some of the greatest footy players. There were lots of fancy photos and displays. We also got to sit on the benches where the AFL players have a rest.

The tour was finished and it was great. Before we left we also went to the MCG museum.

We had lots of fun at the MCG.

Rowena's Cafe

Thursday is now one of my favourite days of the week! Every school day we walk up and down Rowena Parade. On that walk we pass a small café called Rowena’s.

On Thursdays while we walk pass, one of their lovely staff walk out with a big yummy tray of freshly baked muffins. So far, we’ve had chocolate chip muffins but recently they gave us blueberry with white chocolate chips. Rowena’s Café down at Rowena Parade is the best in Melbourne, they even make delicious milkshakes. I’ve really enjoyed our muffin day and I can’t wait till next Thursday!

Thanks Con and the team at Rowena…

Richmond Junior Football Club Training

On Sunday we went to the Richmond Junior Football Club training session. We always go there on Sunday for a kick around. We walked there and come back on the bus.

Before we went to training some of us went shopping at Victoria Gardens. I was by myself walking around and buying food. Max wasn’t there this time and we usually hang out together.

When we arrived at training we ran up and down and kicked the footy. Then we played a scratch match dark side versus light side. The game went for about 30 minutes. When we were finished footy training, we went to a park beside the oval. It was a little park. Some people went to buy take away food for dinner Max was one of them.  The fish and chips were delicious!

Max must not have been hungry because he kept playing football.   We made sure we left him some food to eat after the game.
