Open Day Student Guides Hannah, Holly & Amelie
2020 OPEN DAY SUCCESS AT ST ANDREWS
On Friday 6th March St Andrews Christian College opened the gates to prospective new families as we hosted our annual Open Day event. As the morning showers cleared, the clouds parted and sun shined through to provide the perfect clear day to showcase all that our College and community have to offer.
9am through to 11am saw a steady stream of visitors who enjoyed taking tours led by our student leaders, visiting classrooms filled with interesting and engaging lessons and displays.
The St Andrews student leaders were amazing and played an important role in the marketing of our College. Thanks to each and every one of our Student Leaders for stepping up to this challenge of engaging with the public and sharing your experience and view of College life along the way. Most all of the feedback received began with compliments about our students ability to communicate clearly and answer questions politely and with confidence. It is always a wonderful encouragement to receive such positive feedback.
Open Day 2020 was a great success according to St Andrews Enrolment Registrar Suzy Song. The number of people in attendance and enquiries generated were yet again at an all time high and indicates the increasing desire amongst the community for quality Christian education.
Thanks to our parent volunteers for manning our sausage sizzle, welcoming and interacting with visitors to the College and to Tarah at Rise and Grind Coffee Co for providing the fantastic coffee cart.
All contributed wonderfully in creating a great community feel on the day.
Overall it was a great day that glorified our Lord.

ST ANDREWS STARS - INTERNATIONAL JUDO OPEN TOURNAMENT WINNERS
Jed Forbes (9H) and Ji Forbes (6N) recently competed in an international Judo competition in Sydney.
Jed came 2nd in his weight range and Ji came 3rd in his weight range. Congratulations to both boys on their fantastic achievements.
On Sunday, the 23rd February, I competed in the Judo Sydney International Open Tournament. I competed in 4 fights on the day. I won 3 and came so close to winning to last one as well. Overall, it was a really fun day!
