TERM 4 LEADERSHIP UPDATE

Rosemary Cosentino will be returning as Principal full time next term and I will be returning to my role as Assistant Principal. It has been an honour and a privilege to have the opportunity to serve our community in this acting capacity. Sonya Branca, who has done an amazing job as Acting Assistant Principal, will be returning to her role with Brighton Primary School. On behalf of our staff, students, and wider community we would like to thank Sonya for all the fantastic work she has done during her short time with us and wish her all the best for the future!

PLAYGROUND UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who attended our virtual information session for the 2022 playground, it has been so exciting to be able to share the preliminary designs! As part of our consultation process we want to hear from you concerning your preferences and thoughts on the playground designs. We have shared the slide deck and survey on Compass so that you can see some more detailed images of the design choices.

 

Please complete the survey by next Monday 20th of September so that you can have your say on our 2022 Playground!

 VIRTUAL VICTORIA NATURE FESTIVAL

 

The Victoria Nature Festival began on Saturday 11 September and will run until Sunday 26 September, offering a great range of engaging digital resources and events for students of all ages. The festival offers content such as videos, virtual excursions and webinars sourced from festival partners including Traditional Owners, Parks Victoria, Zoos Victoria, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Phillip Island Nature Parks.

Highlights of the online program include:  

 2021 AUTISM EXPLAINED ONLINE FREE SUMMIT

The Autism Explained Online Summit is a week-long online event, featuring 20+ sessions from highly respected experts from all over the world. Each day will focus on a different theme, ranging from understanding the human side of autism, emotions and behaviour, parenting and early childhood, teen years, and adult autistic identity and culture.

PORT MELBOURNE SECONDARY COLLEGE

Port Melbourne Secondary College will open its doors in 2022. Anne Stout, Foundation Principal (former Principal of Mac Robertson Girls College), would like to share this message introducing Port Melbourne Secondary College.

END OF TERM 3 - EARLY DISMISSAL

I would like to thank staff, students and parents for all their work. It is always a challenging time with schools returning to remote learning, but it has been fantastic to see you all being 'involved and connected'. I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break, and please make sure you try and find a way to recharge, whatever that is for you. This will look different for every family.  We will have a final assembly on Friday the 17th at 2:00 pm, and the end of term will be at 2:30 pm.
