Education Week

This year, Education Week runs from 22–28 May. The theme, ‘150 Years of Public Education’ commemorates the past, celebrates the present and imagines the future of education in Victoria.

Education Week is an opportunity for us to highlight our education journey.

This year, Epsom Primary School is 141 years old. Since we opened, we have grown from a small school to a large school, built new school buildings, participated in many Book Week Parades, created the House program, and become a school focused on sustainability practises through the work of Green Magpies.

Epsom Primary School will be celebrating Education Week by holding an Old Fashioned Games afternoon, as well as a quiz competition on the history of Epsom Primary School. Every competition entry completed will earn points for your House. Parents are encouraged to come and join us!

Date - Wednesday 25th of May.

Time - 2:20, straight after recess.

Where - head to your child’s classroom for further information.

We look forward to seeing you then.

Elvis Excursion

Monday 23rd - Monday 6th June 2022, from 9am - 11:15am

All grades will attend The Bendigo Art Gallery via bus to view the incredible Elvis Direct from Graceland exhibition. One for the money, two for the show - actually no money is required as the excursion is being generously funded by The Bendigo Art Gallery with the buses being funded by the Department of Transport. That's alright! Uh Huh. Uh Huh. Grades are attending on different dates from Monday 23rd through to Monday 6th June 2022, from 9am till 11:15am and will involve a walk past the Viva Bendigo sign. Children are not required to wear their blue suede shoes but must be in school uniform. Please sign the permission form and return to sender (via Compass).

Grades will be all shook up after the learning that is going to take place across specialist subjects and in their classrooms!

RACV Road Safety

RACV Safety Squad is a safety program tailored for Victorian primary school students from foundation to grade six. We have booked a visit by an RACV educator to conduct a program that aims to empower students to stay safe both at home and on the roads, particularly with our school being in a high risk area. Themes covered include passenger safety, pedestrian safety, bike safety and identifying hazards in the home.
