Our Library is open!

We are very excited to announce that our school library is up and running. Classroom teachers have begun taking their students into the library during their allocated times to borrow books and explore some of the recent additions to the library. Please look at the timetable below to see when your child has library. Remember! They will need to bring a library bag to school to protect the books they borrow. Thanks to our lovely librarian Camille and our fantastic Mrs Fullard, for taking the time to organise the library, ready for our very eager Epsom readers.

Update on 300 nights Reading Challenge

The 300 nights reading challenge is currently under review as we have found the late arrival of our diaries, have caused disruption to students logging their nightly reading. It is an expectation at Epsom Primary School that students read every day, either by themselves or with a parent, carer or sibling. Please continue to encourage your child to read at home as it supports their learning and fosters student creativity imagination and helps their vocabulary grow. Watch this space! There will be some new and exciting challenges coming up this term, that will encourage students to read at home and celebrate their success with their peers.

National Simultaneous Storytime- Wednesday 25th of May 11am

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event that aims to encourage young children to read and enjoy books. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around Australia, New Zealand and the world. This year, we will be reading ‘Family Tree’ written by Josh Pyke and illustrated by Ronojoy Ghosh. Join us and read along with the rest of the world, to celebrate the enjoyment and excitement of reading.
