The Brotherhood of St. Laurence’s mission is to work for an Australia free of Poverty.
Given the cost-of-living challenges at the moment, many families are doing it very tough and could use some help.
The Brotherhood of St. Laurence has provided the following financial resources for families, including:

- State Schools Relief (contact the school to request this support)
- Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (contact the school for an application form)

Become a Foster Carer with Anglicare
Anglicare Victoria provides support to some of the most vulnerable families in Victoria, including children who do not live in a safe environment and have been exposed to abuse or neglect. The Government’s Child Protection Unit has declared that our local communities are currently in crisis in meeting the increasing demand for placing children in Foster Care. Anglicare's role is to recruit, train and support the special families who voluntarily provide foster care to vulnerable children. Due to the current crisis, we are desperately seeking to increase the number of foster carers to ensure these children can be placed in a safe and nurturing home.

Mt Derrimut Road Works Update
Please find attached below the July/August 2023 works notification for the Mt Derrimut Road project.
These are key the impacts:
- Full road closure at Mt Derrimut Road, Station Road and Tilburn Road, 7pm Friday 18 August to 5am Monday 21 August
- Two northbound lanes closed on Mt Derrimut Road and Station Road, between Foleys Road and Railway Parade, 7pm to 5am each night Monday 14 to Friday 18 August
- Section of eastbound lane closed on Eagle Way, 7am Friday 28 July to 6pm Friday 18 August
- Westbound lane closed on Tilburn Road between Station/Mt Derrimut roads and Fitzgerald Road, 6.30pm to 5am each night Monday 31 July to Friday 4 August and Monday 7 to Friday 11 August
- Intermittent lane closures on Station Road, Mt Derrimut Road, Tilburn Road, Eagle Way and Railway Parade, July and August 2023

Buses to replace trains on Sunbury line in August
Due to Victoria’s Big Build works, buses will replace trains on the Sunbury Line in August. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time for your journey.
Disruption information
Buses will replace trains between Watergardens and Sunbury from:
- First to last service on Thursday 3 August.

Students should allow additional travel time if travelling on the Sunbury Line. There will be various bus replacement options to make their journey as direct as possible.
