HEAD OF SWANS

Chess Club
Enthusiastic chess players have begun meeting in the library at lunchtime on Thursdays to challenge their strategic abilities over games of chess. We will continue to welcome new players to join these informal games for the next few weeks before we launch the 2020 Interhouse Chess competition. I would like to welcome Mrs Diana Ganapathy, who brings a wealth of strategy and enthusiasm, to help lead our Chess Club.
MacqLit
Mrs Kym Kjaer has returned to oversee our MacqLit program in 2020. She has been busily testing students’ reading abilities and has selected the first small group of students to participate in MacqLit. An information session was held on Tuesday afternoon for the parents of these students to introduce them to our literacy intervention program and explain how they can help to improve their children’s reading and comprehension. These students will meet with Mrs Kjaer for one period each day.
