On Monday, Kindergarten, Stage 1 and Year 7 Japanese students had the opportunity to particpate in a cultural Japanese taiko drumming workshop. Arigatou to Kiyomi Sensei for providing this experience for our students.
During the last week of Term 1, every student in Years 3-6 enjoyed the opportunity to travel to Orange Civic Theatre to see 'The 91 Story Treehouse' production. Many of these students had never had the opportunity before to engage with a live theatre production. This was made possible by funds received from the local Rotarians who paid for the bus. With a return bus trip to Orange well over $1000, this financial support meant that this excursion was made accessible to all. The students loved every minute of the show, with many students commenting on the clever set design and theatrical feats of the actors. A It was a truly memorable experience for our students who, as always, showed exemplary behaviour.
On Wednesday, we held our annual Cross Country event at McGroder Park. This was a new course for our students. It was wonderful seeing all students participating with enthusiasm and supporting others.
Great job to our students who progressed through to District Cross Country in Cudal on Thursday 22nd April, Week 1 Term 2.
