QTAC / Pathways Interviews and Support 

All Year 12s are to check emails – you have been recommended to book an interview with Ms Kenny via Moodle to get support with their career pathway and QTAC application. CLICK HERE. You can now create a QTAC account and also an ATAR portal account, which will be necessary to apply for courses and receive an ATAR. You have been emailed instructions for this, but can also find them on Moodle. CLICK HERE. If you need a hand – come to Careers Centre, we are here to help! Collect your QTAC guide ASAP from Careers Centre if you haven’t already.

University Early Offer Guarantee Program 

Did you know that most universities have an ‘Early offer guarantee’ program? Look on the website of the university you are interested in to see if this could be an option for you!

Scholarships Tips and Tricks 

Research the scholarships that are relevant to you, by visiting the scholarships page on the university / tertiary institute that you are interested in. 

 

At school there will be a ‘Scholarships Tips and Tricks’ Lunchbox Session, on 16th August – at first break – look out for it in the notices.

Griffith Uni's Deans Sir Samuel Griffith and Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarships

Griffith is offering Deans Sir Samuel Griffith (worth a maximum of $60,000.00) and Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarships (worth a maximum $24,000.00) to outstanding students commencing an undergraduate degree for the first time in 2023. To be eligible you must be:

  • an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder or an Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia
  • a student commencing university for the first time ever in Trimester 1, 2023
  • have not undertaken/commenced any tertiary study (bachelor degree or postgraduate degree), with the exception of those undertaken as part of Year 11–12 studies (e.g. enhanced studies program)
  • have applied to commence at Griffith University in Trimester 1 2023, meet the eligibility criteria for an undergraduate degree and receive and accept an admission offer
  • achieve an ATAR 95.50 or above (or IB 37 or above (note: bonus ranks do not apply)
  • have Griffith University listed as your first or second QTAC/UAC preference to be considered for Deans Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship.

Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarships Principal Recommendation Program

This program gives principals the opportunity to nominate one academic student for a Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship. If you are in Year 12 and can demonstrate leadership, civic responsibility and social awareness, speak to your Guidance Officer/Counsellor to discuss the possibility of being nominated for this scholarship. Click here for more program information and applications close on 26 August.
