Senior School Report

Clare O'Neil Visit 

Keysborough College was very lucky to have Federal Member of Parliament and our local Member of the seat of Hotham, Clare O’Neil visit our school on Friday 28th October.  Clare is a member of Cabinet in the current Federal Government.  She is the Minister for Home Affairs and Minister of Cyber Security.

Clare visited Keysborough College to meet with some of our current and future student leaders.  She spoke about her role as a leader within our community and answered questions from the student.  They asked about what advice Clare had for them as they begin their leadership journeys and what she saw as the biggest issues facing our community and were inspired by her visit.   

It was an absolute pleasure to host Minister O’Neil for the afternoon and thank her for her time.

Congratulations to the student leaders involved.  Clare commented on just how impressed she was in the quality of questions and the interest all our student leaders showed in their roles at the college.

Year 12 Graduation 

On 31st October Keysborough College held the 2022 Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our Year 12 students this Year.   The event was held at Monash University in the prestigious Robert Blackwood Hall and was well attended by student’s family and guests along with many staff from the school.  

We also acknowledged those students who had received Community, College and Subject Awards along with all students who had successfully completed their VCE and VCAL certificates.  Students were presented their awards by the College Principal Mr John Baston and School Council President Mrs Lee-Anne Theodorou.   

Former Banksia Campus Captain and now Keysborough College staff member, Mr Mitchell Wood gave the annual Alumni address.  He spoke about the graduating class of 2022 committing to lifelong learning, embracing change and to think about the choices we make and accepting responsibility for them.  

The 2022 Keysborough College Campus Captains also gave their final speech as school leaders.  They thanked the families of all graduating students, the staff of Keysborough College and urged their peers to take bold and positive pathways into the future.  Thank you to the Acacia Campus Captains Lydia McCracken-Matthews and Jimmy Webster and the Banksia Campus Captains Michelle Seng and Sithisak Sereibott.

We celebrated Keysborough College Year 12 students in the Dandenong & Endeavour Hills Star Journal that was published on 8th November 2022.
