Living Waters OSHC - September/October Newsletter

Living Waters OSHC is open from 2.50-6.00pm Monday to Friday. During school holidays and pupil free days we operate from 7.30am until 6.00pm. 

Our Team of Educators share a range of diverse nationalities, backgrounds, ages and interests to build a strong, connected and dedicated team. Our service provides a variety of different programs, activities, incursions, and excursions, designed to keep your child inspired, connected and engaged, both during the school term and the school holidays.

Meet our Living Waters OSHC Team

Tynan (Mr T) – Educator

Hi, I’m Tynan, or Mr T. I’ve lived in Alice Springs my whole life. It’s been almost a year since I started working for the Y, and I am loving it! I love playing sports like soccer, footy and basketball. Sometimes the kids like to try and beat me. Sometimes I let them win. I also like to sit down and do arts and crafts. Seeing what crazy crafts the kids come up with always amazes me. I am currently in year 12, so the kids only see me one or two days a week. I look forward to working there in the future to watch the kids progress through school.

Monthly Program Reflection – September 

The month of September has gone so quickly. The children at OSHC have enjoyed Spring inspired activities, the favourite activity being nature walks around the school whilst collecting rocks and sticks to paint, and searching for butterflies, bees, and other insects. We have also been creating paper flowers and cellophane paper plate moons, using the resources on our new craft trolley, which has been a very busy station each afternoon. A big thank you to Benjamin and his family for kindly donating a bag of flat rocks. We are planning to make some crazy pet rocks very soon!

Upcoming in Term 4

During the first week of Term 4, we will be hosting a Living Waters OSHC Open Day on Thursday 13th October 4-5pm. We are inviting families and members of the Living Waters community to join us and meet the Team of Educators and learn about the programs and experiences we offer at OSHC. If you are interested in our Living Waters OSHC program, please feel welcome to come and visit us!

We are also super excited to announce we have locked in some super fun and engaging programs to be run in Term 4! We have reached out to our community and have joined in an OSHC collaboration to book…
