TRAC Cross Country
What an event!! Firstly it was postponed due to COVID-19, rescheduled for the end of Term 2, adjusted because of COVID-19 but finally we had the 2020 Cross Country. And it did not disappoint. The clouds parted just towards the end of lunch which allowed the sunshine to stream onto the College campus. This was much needed as the temperature was only 11 degrees. Students were amazing in their attitude towards the event and a positive atmosphere filled the College. Congratulations to Browning House who won the overall event. Results were as follows:

Return to CWWHSSA Representative Sport in Term 3
The CWWHSSA Sports Coordinators and Principals from the seven secondary Independent, Catholic and Public Schools in Wagga Wagga met late in Term 2 to discuss the safe return to Representative Sport in Term 3. The following decisions were made during this meeting:
The four trophy sports that were missed (during the COVID 19 isolation period) during Term 1 & 2 will be played in 2020 using a condensed competition format during the following weeks in Term 3:
- Preston Butcher Open Girls Touch Football - Term 3: Weeks 4,5
- Hardy Shield Open Boys Rugby League - Term 3: Weeks 4,5,6
- Tracey Gunsen Open Girls Netball - Term 3: Weeks 6,7
- Carroll Cup Open Boys AFL - Term 3: Weeks 7,8,9
The decision was unanimous, with each school agreeing that it was most important for the current Year 12 cohort to be provided the opportunity to play these competitions during their final year at school. For some, it may become one of their fondest memories to come out of a challenging 2020. The competitions will be played in strict accordance with COVID-19 safe play protocols during the time of the specific competition dates. At this stage, there will be no spectators, including parents, allowed to attend the sporting grounds (with the exception of dropping off and picking up players). Currently, only the players, coaching staff and officials will be able to attend the events. You will be informed ASAP if these restrictions ease.
Regular sports played during Term 3 will continue to be played as per the CWWHSSA sporting calendar in accordance with COVID-19 safe play protocols. At this stage, there will be no spectators, including parents, allowed to attend the sporting grounds(with the exception of dropping off and picking up players). Hardy Shield Open Boys Rugby League
The Riverina Anglican College has decided not to enter in the Hardy Shield Open Boys Rugby League competition for 2020. The players and coaching staff scheduled a meeting at the beginning of Term 2 and it was decided (due to a variety of factors) it was in the players best interest not to enter into this competition in 2020. The College will return to the competition in 2021. I would like to acknowledge the maturity and comradery of each of the players who made this decision.
