What a busy year we have had and what a pleasure it has been to have you along for the ride. We are very sad to be finishing up 2022 but so excited for what next year has to bring!
Thank you for a fantastic year!
Over term four we continued our 'Show and tell' program and filled out our scrapbook with stories and pictures from all the children. Each child was able to bring in photos from their weekend or a special event to share with the class. It was so fantastic to see each child up in front of the class and sharing.
Visits to the park - As the weather gave us glimpses of the sun over term four, we grabbed these opportunities to visit the park as much as we could. The children adore going to the park, it's such a great opportunity for them to explore their independence and sense of adventure.
Diwali
Grandparents Day
Halloween
Children's Week (Teddy Bear Picnic)
Space Week
Remembrance Day
Alex's mum Sam who is a Vet came to talk about how we can look after our pets, they brought their bunnies Coco and Mocha.
Rosie's mum Sarah joined us to share her ukulele skills for a sing-along. The Children showed great interest in Sarah's special friend 'Hank' (Ukulele).
Visits from Michelle (Rowville Library)
The children adore having Michelle visit from Rowville library to read stories, she encourages them to go visit the library in Stud Park, you might see her there!
Mr. Marvel's Magical Circus Show Incursion
Mr Marvel came and wowed the group with his amazing magical skills. The children were very amused with his magic and performance. Children were given the opportunity to be involved with the show and they loved it!
Post Office Excursion
After collecting all our bread tags across the centre, we sorted them and package them up ready to be delivered. The weather held up for us on Monday and we walked to the post office, delivered the bread tags and then headed to 'The Stonez Restaurant' for a treat before heading back to Haven.
Afternoon group times we had our music/drama program where we used props and music to get our bodies and brains working by dancing, doing yoga and playing group games.
Our chinese program involved saying good morning in chinese each morning, counting, songs and body parts.
Identity - using water colour and a sharpie, the children drew portraits of themselves, using the mirror and famous portraits for reference and inspiration, these pictures were displayed within the room and were beautiful pieces of art.
We love Christmas!
Our cheeky Elf Cheerio has been up to so much within Forest Room. Each morning we love see the excitement on each child's face as they scan the room for where cheerio has set himself up for the day.
As Cheerio gets up to no good, what do the children get up to?
They enjoyed decorating the room, doing LOTS of artwork, making their christmas ornaments and wearing their best christmas outfits.
Thank you for 2022.
Love Ginna, Lena, Sikha,
Trish, Kristyn and Jesy
