Subject Selection Days

The Year 7, 8, 9 & 11 Subject Selection Day was held last week in preparation for 2027, with Year 10s having their own day this week.  The turn out and bookings have been excellent. The positive engagement between staff, student and families highlights how successful these days are and why they are one of my favourite events. The day provided students and families with the opportunity to discuss students’ interests, strengths, and opportunities as they move through the College. 

A big thank you to all involved to ensure that both Subject Selection Days ran smoothly. 

2027 Timetable and Blocks 

Following the subject selection days our Leadership Team begins the process of developing subject blocks for 2027.  It is important that we plan to ensure that subjects running have a sustainable number and balance  that with delivering a wide variety of subjects. This means students, families and staff will need to understand that not all subjects will run and that students may receive lower preferences. 

We consistently have over a 95% success rate in students receiving their higher preferences. However, I know when you are part of the less than 5% that don’t; you can feel let down. College staff are committed to supporting students and families through this process, particularly at the Senior end of the school. 

2025 Annual Report

Horsham College’s 2025 Annual Report is available for viewing on Horsham College’s website (Home > Our School > Plans & Reports). The Annual Report provides an opportunity to the College to share our achievements and progress with the school community, and includes the performance summary, which details the College’s performance from the past year (2025) and trends over time. 

Horsham College Production of Frozen: The Musical 

As I am sure many are aware, Horsham College’s production this year is Frozen: The Musical. Students and staff have been working tirelessly to ensure that the performances will be fantastic. 

The dates and times of the performances are below:

• 7:00pm, Thursday 20 August 7:00pm, Friday 21 August

• 11:00am, Saturday 22 August

• 7:00pm, Saturday 22 August
